Brookgreen
Gardens
Brookgreen is one of the country's leading cultural and
educational institutions and a National Historic Landmark.
Within its more than 9,200 acres are the Lowcountry History
and Wildlife Preserve, the Huntington Sculpture Garden
and the Center for American Sculpture. Brookgreen Gardens
is the floral jewel of South Carolinas coastal community.
The land that comprises Brookgreen Gardens is a diverse
mix of forested swamps, salt marsh, sandy ridges and fresh
tidal swamps. The sculpture collection currently contains
over 900 works spanning the entire period of American
sculpture -- from the early 1800s to the present.The thousands
of acres in Brookgreen's Lowcountry History and Wildlife
Preserve are rich with evidence of the native plants and
animals of the South Carolina Lowcountry as well as the

Huntington
State Park
Huntington Beach offers the best preserved beach on the
Grand Strand. The diverse natural environment of the South
Carolina coast can be observed at the freshwater lagoon,
salt marsh, nature trail, and along the beach. The park
is one of the finest bird watching sites on the east coast.
Huntington Beach is also the site of the historic castle
"Atalaya". Atalaya is listed as a National Historic
Landmark. A prestigious juried arts and crafts festival
attracts thousands of visitors to the park each September.

Golf
in Pawleys Island
Well manicured, vast fairways, and rolling terrain mark
the beautiful golf courses located in the Pawleys Island
area. Courses include True Blue and Caledonia Golf and
Fish club. Both have been (ranked "Top 100 America's
Greatest Public Courses" by Golf Digest 2005-2006.
Plus, there is the Tradition Golf Club, awarded "South
Carolina's Golf Course of the year 2000".
