So, you’re spending a week in Litchfield Beach.
Lounging for days sounds wonderful. After about Day 2, though, it can get boring. And Litchfield Beach is anything but boring. You need a plan to help you get the most out of this sweet getaway.
Here’s our suggestion for a fun-filled week.
The Day-By-Day Way to 7 Days of Fun in Litchfield Beach
Some relaxation, some adventure, lots of fun. This is the way to see it all in the Myrtle Beach area.
DAY 1 - HIT THE BEACH
This bit of paradise is a driving force for why you get away to the coast, right?
- Bring your blanket, a cold drink, and your beach read
- Take a long, slow walk on the beach, to nowhere in particular
- Find a secluded spot and meditate, or sit a bit in silence

Start with good sun-protection habits on Day 1. Apply sunscreen, and wear UV-protection glasses and a wide-brimmed hat.
DAY 2 - MAKE IT TO MURRELLS INLET

- Bring your bike to the shady, cool Waccamaw Neck Bike Trail
- Spend time in serenity amid the sculptures at Brookgreen Gardens
- Take a pontoon boat out for a half-day from Beach House Rentals

Visit the Lost at Sea Memorial at Morse Park Landing (4939 U.S. Highway 17 Business.) It’s a peaceful place with a touching tribute.
DAY 3 - HEAD TO HUNTINGTON BEACH STATE PARK
A castle, gators, and wetlands? It’s at Huntington Beach State Park.
- Check out the viewing deck at The Sandpiper Pond Nature Trail
- Take a self-guided audio tour of Atalaya, a seaside castle in Moorish style built in the 1930s
- Learn about the Coastal Exploration Program, in which you can take on a new hobby such as birding or kayaking

Take in the sunrise on the gorgeous 3-mile beach. In the cooler early morning, explore the jetty, cast a line, or take a swim.
DAY 4 - CATCH A SHOW IN MYRTLE BEACH
Sit a spell and appreciate some of the incredible performers in Myrtle Beach, a short 30-minute drive away.
- Catch tribute band shows for the Blues Brothers, Elvis, Luke Bryan, and more at Legends in Concert
- Be entertained by the comedy and magic of renowned Michael Bairfoot at GTS Theater

DAY 5 - SHOP AT THE MARSHWALK
Excellent eats, amazing vibes. Bring the family, a date, or make a new friend.

- Search for crabs, observe birds, and look for jellyfish in the waves
- Bring a chair and a sketchbook, and draw what you see
