We’re talking about Pawleys Island, the quaint town on the barrier island of the same name. There’s a different vibe here, a laid-back feel among the serene beaches and dunes. It’s historic, adventurous, and relaxing.

ATTRACTIONS

Where there’s a will, there’s a way to find adventures in Pawleys Island.

BROOKGREEN GARDENS: This sculpture garden and wildlife sanctuary is a visitor’s favorite. It’s 9,100 acres of themed gardens and American figurative sculptures. Visit the Lowcountry Zoo and more.
HUNTINGTON BEACH STATE PARK: The beach and wetlands are home to sea turtles, birds, and more. Don’t miss a visit to the salt marsh with its long-range views and unique wildlife.
ATALAYA: It’s a historic home in Huntington Beach State Park that philanthropist Archer Huntington and sculptor Anna Hyatt Huntington built in 1931. Take a self-guided tour of this coastal castle.

GOLF COURSES

Don’t resist the urge to bring your clubs to the Golf Capital of the World.

FOUNDERS CLUB AT PAWLEYS ISLAND: This challenging Thomas Walker design opened in 2008. You’ll enjoy the unique character of many holes here with elevated greens on every approach.

RIVER CLUB: The grounds are in impeccable shape, from the tee boxes to the greens. Play among ponds and streams on this picturesque Tom Jackson course. Keep a lookout for the resident alligator sunning on the front nine!
WILLBROOK PLANTATION: Enjoy a stunning layout and an excellent course. This Dan Maples design is a favorite, especially among female golfers. Players of all skill levels have a blast playing here, too.

RESTAURANTS

The options are delicious, from seafood to comfort food.

CHIVE BLOSSOM CAFE: Choose from pasta, sandwiches, and seafood, with an extensive wine list. It’s a favorite dinner spot where She-Crab Soup and so much more gets rave reviews.

PAWLEYS ISLAND TAVERN: You’ll love the positive vibes and traditional pub grub, including PIT Pizza. Check out live blues performances that’ll make you want to come back often during your stay!
RUSTIC TABLE: Enjoy a modern spin on classic Southern comfort food and cocktails. There’s lots of room inside and on the patio. An amazing menu includes a lineup of unforgettable salads.

Leave double the space in your luggage for the treasures you’ll bring home.

HAMMOCK SHOPS VILLAGE: It’s a pleasant place for a walk among a variety of stores. It’s the home of the original Pawleys Island rope hammock, and you can even watch an artisan make one.
